Scott Klein, ProPublica's editor of news applications, discusses the thinking behind the redesign of the website. Klein says the goal is to match the sophistication of ProPublica's reporting, as well as to provide context for readers who are just starting to read our investigations or use our interactive tools and data. The site was designed by Mule Design in San Francisco and the software development was done by Solspace, along with ProPublica's in-house Web development team. If you have thoughts about the new design, please share them with Scott. For more about the website, please see Scott's note, "Take a Look at the New ProPublica.org."
