Cedeem Gumbs is the talent associate at ProPublica. In that role, he helps coordinate the hiring and onboarding processes for the newsroom. Prior to ProPublica, he completed a marketing fellowship at New York Theatre Workshop, where he supported its community engagement efforts and the creation of new branded language for its website. He received a B.A. in English literature and political science with a minor in sociology from CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College. He currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and enjoys reading manga, watching anime and studying Japanese in his free time.
