Annie was an audience engagement fellow at ProPublica. Before moving to New York, she worked as a city hall/community watchdog reporter at The Arizona Republic. She studied journalism and political science at Azusa Pacific University, where she served as editor-in-chief of the university's newspaper and won a Los Angeles Press Club award for her reporting on a transgender theology professor who was asked to leave. She formerly worked as a reporting intern at The Washington Times and the Orange County Register, among other publications.
