In partnership with Michigan Public and Flint Public Art Project.
Come see the work of ProPublica visual journalism fellow Sarahbeth Maney as she exhibits portraits of local residents. She’ll be joined by ProPublica reporter Anna Clark for an interactive workshop on the art of telling true stories. Our reporters will take you behind the scenes of photojournalism best practices and investigative reporting techniques.
There’s more than one way to tell a story. A team of muralists will join the Flint Public Art Project for a live mural-painting experience. Flint Public Art Project integrates art into public spaces through vibrant installations that ignite creativity and empower residents, sowing the seeds for a more connected and resilient community.
Guests will be treated to local eats and the musical stylings of a live DJ.
The free interactive session on the art of telling true stories will begin at 2:30pm.
We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of artistry!
