Scripps Howard Journalism Awards, Winners

Two ProPublica projects were named winners of 71st Scripps Howard Journalism Awards, presented by the Scripps Howard Fund and The E.W. Scripps Company.

“Thirsty Valley,” a Local Reporting Network project in collaboration with The Desert Sun, won the Excellence in Innovation award, honoring Roy W. Howard.

“Friends of the Court” won the Ursula and Gilbert Farfel Prize, which honors excellence in national/international investigative reporting.
