The Society of Silurians announced last night that ProPublica had won two of its Excellence in Journalism Awards.
Cezary Podkul’s reporting on tobacco bonds costing states billions won the medallion in the category for online investigative reporting. Accountability reporting on the Red Cross by Jesse Eisinger and Justin Elliott of ProPublica and Laura Sullivan of NPR won the public service medallion.
Winners will be honored at an awards dinner on May 19 in New York City. Congratulations to all.
