Update: This position is no longer available.
We are looking for a recent college or journalism school graduate to work as a senior reporting fellow in our newsroom. The fellowship lasts for one year. We’re ready for you to start as soon as you’re available. It’s full-time, based in New York, and compensation is $800 a week, plus benefits. Fellows primarily report their own stories — like this one — but also collaborate with ProPublica’s reporters on big projects. We’re looking for somebody with investigative reporting experience. For writing samples, please send us stories that highlight your best, hard-hitting reporting. That is, stories that dig something up and hold people or institutions accountable. To apply, fill out the form below.
We are committed to diversity and building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds. Everyone is encouraged to apply, including women, LGBTQ people, people of color, and people with disabilities.
Reporting fellows at ProPublica have gone on to work at the New York Times, Bloomberg, Politico, NPR, the Center for Public Integrity and the Chicago Tribune.
The deadline to apply is Monday, Aug. 15. If you have questions, email [email protected].
