ProPublica is looking for a creative, entrepreneurial intern to join our growing business team this summer. This person will work closely with our director of business development to identify, research, develop a business case for and potentially pilot new, revenue-generating activity at ProPublica. The intern will come away with experience developing and testing new ideas in a business context and the skills for assessing the market potential of such ideas.
The ideal intern will have some journalism experience and a demonstrated interest in the business side of media. We also know that great candidates can bring skills to ProPublica that we haven’t thought of and who won’t fit everything we’ve described above. If this is you, don't hesitate to apply, and tell us what unique contributions you can offer.
This is a paid, full-time internship in ProPublica’s New York City offices. This position is primarily intended for a rising college senior, recent college graduate or graduate student. You can apply using this form. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The last day to apply is Monday, May 15.
ProPublica is dedicated to improving our newsroom, in part by better reflecting the people we cover. Therefore, we are committed to diversity and especially encourage members of underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQ people and people with disabilities.
