Tonight’s episode of PBS Need to Know, hosted by Alison Stewart, will feature ProPublica’s Joaquin Sapien and Aaron Kessler, formerly of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. The segment will examine the harmful effects of tainted drywall – a product which numerous homeowners say has caused serious respiratory problems, bloody noses, migraines and rendered thousands of homes worthless.
The episode also delves into the legal frustrations of consumers as they try to rid their homes of the toxic product and sue the foreign manufacturers responsible for putting them in harm’s way.
Sapien and Kessler have reported extensively on Chinese drywall for the past year. Read their series, Tainted Drywall: How Companies Kept Silent While Homeowners Suffered, and check your local listings to watch the episode tonight. You can also watch the episode online.
