ProPublica and Frontline’s ‘Terror in Little Saigon’ Nominated for Emmy Award

The ProPublica and PBS Frontline project Terror in Little Saigon has been nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy Award in the category of outstanding investigative journalism: long form.

The Frontline documentary, reported and written by ProPublica’s A.C. Thompson and filmmaker Richard Rowley, revealed a political death squad that operated in the United States for more than a decade with total impunity. The outfit, which murdered five journalists and terrorized untold others, was run by former South Vietnamese military men who targeted those in America they perceived as sympathetic to the Communist victors in Vietnam. Yet the FBI never made a single arrest in what today remains one of the most significant unsolved domestic terrorism cases in the bureau’s history.
