This week on the ProPublica podcast, we talk with Sheri Fink, who won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting. Sheri’s story, "The Deadly Choices at Memorial," was published in collaboration with The New York Times Magazine in August 2009. Her story describes the life-and-death decisions made by a group of health care providers at a New Orleans hospital in the wake of Katrina. Sheri discusses what it was like to win the Pulitzer, how she got started on her long investigation, and why she went into journalism after earning a medical degree.
